Brew, Sweat & Gears 29th November 2013

The film identifies some of the problems and daily challenges of a group of like minded individuals who share the same objectives to overcome disability and prove what can be achieved.
Amazing and inspiring film that covers a journey born from an idea of creating a charity that would help and support inclusive cycling, leading to an amazing three day cycling adventure; our 150 mile coast 2 coast.

Coast to Coast 9-12 September 2013

Sunday the 8th saw the full team arrive for their Bikeability training and then load the vans and trailer for our epic journey. Monday arrive at Carnforth for our 9.00am start. Official starter Councillor Roe, Mayor of Carnforth, started our 3 day ride.
No problems on the first day; even missed the rain at lunch in Sedbergh. All the team rode well and arrived at Hawes for the first night stop.

Tuesday we left the YHA with new rider Theresa Dunn and her new Lottery funded hand cycle. She rode fantastic and cycled into Aysgarth to a incredible welcome. After 52 miles we arrived at The George Easingwold to a very warm welcome.

Wednesday, longest and the toughest part of the ride, and on the early part of the day the hills tested the riders! After lunch the rain came and stayed until the finish at Flamborough Head. We all rode to the Lighthouse and celebrated.
Lots of great moments throughout the three days, great friendships shared and made, with the EMpowered riders all reaching and surpassing their goals, proving that with the correct help and support just what can be achieved.
SEE THE ABILITY AND NOT THE DISABILITY. What will happen next year?

Get Going Live 13 June 2013

A busy day for the team at Donnington Park with lots of visitors wanting to know about battery assisted bikes and try them out. We meet at lot of fantastic people and hopefully we will be able to offer help and support for their requirements.
One of the many visitors to the EMpowered people stand trying out the Berkel Bike, this unique cycle allows the riders to use either hands or feet in any combination, with the option of battery assist.
