Tour of Anglesey - 9th to 11th May 2014

Comment from Tour of Anglesey support rider:
"Simon,
Just a quick note to say thanks for a brilliant weekend.
Without sounding patronising to any of the participants, I was absolutely blown away with the goals achieved and pure ‘guts’ shown by you all. It really shows what can be done with determination and a positive mental attitude.
The quote you use about the bumble bee not knowing it shouldn’t be able to fly really does sum up the weekend. I hope to ride with you all again soon.
Once again, congratulations and many thanks, please pass on my admiration to all involved.
With kind regards,
Seth Pierce"

Wilsons Park, Clayton-le-Moors 12th March 2014

Wednesday 12th March saw Anita Povis and Alex Hook became the latest beneficiaries of EMpowered people. The two HASE hand cycles were commissioned at Wilsons Park, Clayton-le-Moors on a fabulous sunny and warm day.
Both bikes were set up and adjusted for each riders requirement and after several test laps around the running track, Anita and Alex were joined by new rider Ian 'jumper' Jones and Theresa Dunn along with some of our support riders and took to the local roads to get experience of the bikes.
All four riders will now start their training programmes ready for the Grand Tour of Anglesey and aspire to reach their own goals.
