EMpowered people need volunteers to help make our new and exciting charity a success.

The generous support of individuals like you makes it possible for our organisation to exist and to help change the lives of people with disabilities by helping to give them back independence, fun and health benefits that are attributed with cycling.

Support riders

Maybe you are a cycling commuter, a family or social rider or maybe a keen athlete if you would like a new challenge and at the same time open up the world of cycling to people who need your help?

Support riders are a key part of Empowered people and we feel that each empowered rider should always have one or two support riders close by. So the more empowered riders we can help directly relates to the Support riders we have available for the ride.

If you feel that you could help us build up our team of support riders even for a few rides a year and help become a highly important part of our team we would love to hear from you.

We run regular support rider training sessions to help give you all the training and confidence you would need.

 

Other areas you could help

• Qualified cycling instructors to advise and guide our beneficiaries with the correct selection of cycles, and put in place the appropriate support packages.
• Qualified cycle mechanics that are trained and understand modern bikes in particular battery assisted drive systems.
• Fundraisers to help with collections and have the ability to canvas through the new media channels and to target high profile companies and organisations with pledges that will enable us to reach our goals.
• Administration support and knowledge of current IT packages.

Throughout this year we have several exhibitions and cycling challenges which will be high profile for our charity and this will give us a greater opportunity for fundraising which in turn allows us to help many more deserving cases.

As a volunteer you will be part of a truly inspiring charity, seeing the joy of our beneficiaries complete challenges and achieve their goals.
